DanB93
Hi all, pciked up a Hornby Railraod Mallard today with sound R3395TTS but can't get it to move. I can get the sound working but no movement. I am using a Hornby Select which powers my 3 other locos including one with sound and they ball run fine. The Mallard makes a continuous buzzing/humming sound. I've tried putting a blanking decoder in to try on my analogue layout and no movment as well.Does anyone have any suggestions what I can try next.thanksDan
Chrissaf
Contact seller for replacement / refund .... obviously faulty. If it is still not working on the blanking plate then that would tend to rule out the decoder as the issue. So either the drivetrain or motor or loco wiring is faulty. Can't be the wheel pickup side of the wiring to the decoder, else the sound wouldn't work..TIP: As a newbie poster on the forum, just be aware that the 'Blue Button with the White Arrow' is not a 'Reply to this post' button. ColinB
It is probably the gear stuck if the motor is buzzing, check the valve gear for stuck linkages.
