Kevin Hodges
I just bought a Walthers Station Platform kit not realising it is a USA modelled platform. Will I get away with this on my very 'British' layout ? Or will it stick out like dogs **lls ?
atom3624
How high do they come up to the coaches - bottom-of-door-opening height? Some photos I came across they were the 'low type' aka some European stations. Some I saw were all grey - we would at least have white edging wouldn't we? Al. Kevin Hodges
Thanks Al I haven't taken it out of the packaging yet so not sure. Hopefully someone here is familiar with this kit.
Ruffnut Thorston
As it will be to HO scale, even if it was meant to be UK Board of Trade compliant height, it would be a bit low... As far as I know, most US stations have low platforms, and the passenger cars have built in steps... So, probably too low... 😉
Peter Stiles
Assuming it's this https://www.walthers.com/wood-station-shed-platform-kit-includes-4-sections does look too low for a GB platform. I hope you got a better price on it than thirty odd-quid.
RB51
If you wanted to use it I guess you could make a base to bring it up to the correct height. I think I would sell it though. R-
