Shrek55
I have a six wheeled base loco that sometimes runs ok over the points then sometimes when the wheels hit the plastic part it looses power. I have a inter city 125 and a Mallard that both run ok over the points. The tank engine that came with the train set i bought 2 months ago is brand new so age shouldn't be an issue. All the points are level and fixed to my base board, there does seem to be a lot of movement from side to side with the wheels.Any ideas, does anyone else suffer from this problem ? mjb1961
Hi,,,this is a regular question,,although you have fixed down the track the points are probably not entirely flat, drill a small hole in the centre of the points and fix it down useing the same pins you have been useing, and on top of that make sure the track is clean and the wheels are clean ,hope this helps,,mjb
Chrissaf
0-6-0 wheeled locos and Hornby points is an extremely common issue that comes up on this forum on an almost daily basis. MJB1961's suggested fix seems to help with this issue..TIP: As a newbie poster on the forum, just be aware that the 'Blue Button with the White Arrow' is not a 'Reply to this post' button.
