Reddington
Good Morning Everyone, My Daughter and I finished assembling the suspension bridge and later today we will be fitting it our layout. My questions are should the bridge be glued down ? Can I use track screws to lay the track onto the bridge ? Thanks in advanceRed.
Flashbang
HiI wouldn't screw or pin anything! Consider using "Tacky Wax" this holds items very securely and is easy to reposition or remove items later on without any damage. Its also great for holding those little people in place too on pavements and platforms etc 😆
Buz
Hi ReddingtonIf it is like the Triang bridge it will have slots in the base of the bridge piers so it can be screwed downThe bridge needs to be held in place if on a permanent layout.Flashbang' idea of a little tacky wax is a good ideas I would not fix the track to the deck if you don't need to, the track slot should hold it in place if its not going to be moved. If it's the bridge I think it is at 4' long that's going to be a very dominant feature on the layout.regards John
JJ73
No - don't track screws on to the bridge - you could brake the bride - I just lay the track on my 2 suspension bridges!!!
