LCDR
Hornby No 50 set is from the Meccano era and was probably made in the late 1950s early 1960s. It is clockwork made from tinplate, and runs on 32mm gauge track (Gauge O) . The set came with an 0-4-0 locomotive and tender, usually a black one numbered 60199, and three goods wagons. The set should contain twelve curved rails 2 foot radius, two straight rails, one with a brake and reversing lever, 14 rail connecting clips and a key to wind up the loco. Value will depend upon condition, and including the condition of the box. One in mint condition that is with a box without scuffs and tears, no rust or scratches on any components including track and complete with all literature can fetch upwards of £150 but more likely in playworn condition to about £30 to £50. JJ73
Or it is worth as much as some 1 want to pay for it at the end of the day - saw this railway sign valued between £50 & £100 - Long story short, at an auction - it went for a silly price, something about £32,000 - so who knows!!!
