ColinB
Sounds like you have a short somewhere. What sort of points are you using? The thing to remember with digital, although there is no longer a plus and minus 12 volt supply, the dcc signal has a plus and a minus, so you still get the same issues if plus touches minus. With my layout the biggest issue was having two loops one inside the other connected together via crossover points. If you have this arrangement then make sure you use insulated fishplates on the parts of points that join the loops together.

96RAF
Picture posting is fixed John. As stated a picture or sketch of the new layout as it sounds like you have built a reverse loop into the plan.

Chrissaf
Jimben,You asked a virtually identical question in August. In that version of the question you added that your power track was the analogue R8206. Did you perform the connector modification as advised..Your original question and replies, which by the way raised further questions that you did not reply to can be viewed here:.https://www.hornby.com/uk-en/forum/select-eo-track-issue/?p=1/#post-340489.TIP: As a newbie poster on the forum, just be aware that the 'Blue Button with the White Arrow' is not a 'Reply to this post' button.
