Digital Track will not work after extension

Sounds like you have a short somewhere. What sort of points are you using?  The thing to remember with digital, although there is no longer a plus and minus 12 volt supply, the dcc signal has a plus and a minus, so you still get the same issues if plus touches minus. With my layout the biggest issue was having two loops one inside the other connected together via crossover points. If you have this arrangement then make sure you use insulated fishplates on the parts of points that join the loops together.

Hi  new to trains since may , new hl4 set , worked ok , tried to increase track size , new 8073/8075 etc  having problems ,pu tmetal  power pins in ( presume plastic are not needed anywhere on digital ??) built track up bit by bit using tracktester but EO message on select unit , undo small track and it lights up dont understand checked all fishplates etc , even renewed some , had outer 2 rails working but then when i add other tracks same EO message , can anuone help please , can send photos of track

You asked a virtually identical question in August. In that version of the question you added that your power track was the analogue R8206. Did you perform the connector modification as advised.
