Captain Tom on Railmaster

Recommended Posts

Given that this loco has been rushed through as a special. It does not surprise me if it has not yet been added to the Hornby RailMaster database. Any loco regardless of who makes it can be manually added to RailMaster. It just requires a little bit more configuration effort.

.

This following thread details 'step by step' with screen shots how to add a loco that is not in the Hornby RailMaster database. It was written for a sound decoder fitted loco, if yours is a non sound decoder, then just ignore and skip over the sound related steps.

PS - Here is an image of Captain Tom you can load into RailMaster. Just right click the image and choose the 'save it' option. Then copy the downloaded image file into the RailMaster folder specified in the linked post above.

Note: For anyone in the same boat that has fitted a TTS sound decoder. Then just use the TTS decoder R number in the RailMaster 'Locomotive Settings' loco R number search box. This will populate the correct TTS functions for that particular TTS decoder. It will probably also populate a loco image pertinent to that particular TTS decoder. So still manually select the image file downloaded above from the loco image list to supplement the TTS function settings and over-ride the default image the TTS decoder R number uses. It really isn't rocket science, it is just a case of understanding how the 'Locomotive Settings' screen works, and how one can manipulate it for one's own ends.
