newbryford
Has anyone noticed how the wheels on the SD Mk3s "rattle" through Peco Code 75 track?Due to the deep flange depth riding on the moulding. This seems to be a backward step in the wheel standards that were previously used by Hornby.I'm loathe to swap out the wheels - as the disc brakes look quite decent as well as the extra cost - for something that runs better on a very popular track standard (I've been using it since it was first released in the early 1990s with nothing other than back to back adjustments with Hornby wheels)And the tread surface seems a little rough as well - possibly contributing to the noise. If anyone from Hornby is reading this:I've tried without success to contact Hornby directly via the contact form and email three times since July - despite the promise that they will endeavour to reply within 8 working days. I know CV-19 has caused issues, but 8 days shouldn't have become 8 weeks ir more Mick
JJ73
@ newbryford :- No one @ Hornby will ever read this - your best bet is either to ring Hornby (Betweet 9am & 1pm) or to email Hornby!!! You will only ever get advice from other Forum members!!!
