hosh
1/ A PCI DCC card for the computer. Install drivers, software and then plug into the layouts power supply which then sends power and DCC info to the layout.2/ Super Break Van - lights (also making it block detectable) and a free rolling wheel (not fixed to it's mate's axle) with an rpm counter/decoder. This would give super accurate distance information back to the computer. Would need suspension to avoid diagonal lifting from potentially uneven track. Also, after a loco decoupled from a train and then moved off, the computer knows the decoupling was successful if the Break Van remains stationary.Too bad we don't even have detection yet.Can anyone say if the Elite is able to receive data from the layout and send it on to the computer or will that be in the Elite 2 - maybe?
