Alan Maynard1707819841
HiMy son has just bought a 1/24th Airfix stuka from Ebay. The kit is complete, but unfortunatley the Cockpit canopy is damaged. Dont think there will be any spares for this kit, so looking for a possible replacement from a third party manufacturer. I have seen vac form canopys for other scales but not for 1/24th.Any information appreciated.ThanksAlan
Ratch
You might try crash-moulding a replacement.

Sorry I am not that advanced in the hobby and have no idea what that is. I will pass this onto my son,as he knows more about modelling than I do and might know how to do this. Thanks for taking the time to respond. It is appreciated. Best wishesAlan
Ratch
Alan, it's also called plunge moulding and basicallly you heat a sheet of plastic and plunge the original canopy into it (or the sheet over the canopy).
Bish1707821547
Unfortunatly there are no Stuka canopies in this scale. I doubt you will be able to get one from Airfix as the kit has not been produced in 9 years. If the damage is not to bad, you might be able to patch it up with some white glue. peebeep
I would like to see pictures of the damage before commenting.
Alan Maynard1707819841
Thanks for all the replys. I think that it could be stuck back together and once painted you would not notice, but my boy is such a perfectionist he thinks the crack will show. Thanks again for all your suggestions. I will pass them onto him. I know he has sent a parts request to Airfix, but as mentioned above. Its been out of production for so long. Thanks againAlan
