Hi everyone

We've just bought a brand new BR Princess Class 'Princess Marie Louise' (Product Code R3711X) which is DCC fitted.
We can't find it on the E-link and we are wondering if any of you have done it. Has anybody got any suggestions for us

Many thanks

The eLink is just the physical interface box. The loco information is held, configured and stored in RailMaster, which is actually the controller. Hence the move and retitle of your post to this forum.

The R3711X does indeed appear to be missing from the Hornby RailMaster loco database. This is most unusual for a loco that is also factory DCC fitted with a decoder as denoted by the X suffix to the R3711X stock code number. This loco pre-dates Hornby TTS Decoder fitted locos, which makes it a relatively old loco. Hence my surprise that it is missing in the database.

This loco is not a sound loco else it would have had a XS suffix.

The fact that the loco is not in the database, is not an issue. The Hornby database is just a 'time saving' aid. The loco can be manually added to RailMaster following these previously posted 'step by step' instructions produced for a different loco.

As your R3711X is not a 'sound loco' then just ignore the 'sound' related steps in the guidance.

Where the guidance says copy the loco image file into the 'Railmaster / Loco' folder, then you can use the image below. Right click the image below and choose 'save as' and give the file a name. I suggest R3711X.jpg ... save the file to a temporary folder, pending moving it to the Railmaster / Loco folder. Note that RailMaster must not be running when moving the image file to the RM / Loco folder.

TIP: As a newbie poster on the forum, just be aware that the 'Blue Button with the White Arrow' is not a 'Reply to this post' button. If you want to reply to any of the posts, scroll down and write your reply in the reply text box at the bottom of the page and click the Green 'Reply' button.

Particularly as my reply includes an image, using the 'Blue Button' may result in your reply being held back for image approval, even though it is an existing image.

You should find this loco, and several other newly released ones, in the latest version of RailMaster (1.74) which is downloadable from the link at the top of this page (although it still currently says 1.73).

We are just waiting for feedback of any issues from this download before rolling out the 1.74 update as an automatic download, hopefully in the next few days.

Have a happy New Year, all!
