Maltese Mike
Hi, I have a R292 Class 5 which I believe is fitted with a Type 6 Ringfield motor. I would like to fit a Hornby Sound Decoder to it. The motor is tender driven with the black wire pickup attached to the loco via the loco to tender connector. As I can't see a Red wire in the tender I am guessing that the chassis is live.My question is, do I have to insulate the brush securing plate with a nylon screw or am I missing something? Should I try another form of fitting? Thanks
