Duck, Bill & Ben DCC Conversion Help

Hi IW, welcome to the forums. I'm not familiar with the Thomas range so don't have any specific help but the principle is the same for all DCC conversions - disconnect the red and black pickup wires from the motor and connect to the red and black decoder

wires, then connect the orange and grey decoder wires to the motor (convention is red and orange go to right side, black and grey to the left - if you get it worng, all that happens is that the loco runs backwards and can be re-programmed to correct direction,

or swap grey and orange). Some say it is also advisable to remove any interference suppression inductors and capacitors but it will work leaving them in place.

Given the conversions you've done, applying the principles to other locos shouldn't be too difficult

I'm thinking.
