Does anyone use these? I'm thinking of getting one to use as a fan-out to three sidings but am wondering whether they are prone to problems such as derailments.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Previous posts regarding these points have been raised before. As far as I can recall, the posts related to how to configure the point motor operation to select the required route. I cannot recall any posts relating to derailments.

Yes, I can see the motor configuration could make for a bit of fun. Reassuring that you can't remember any derailment issues. There's also shorting problems that I occasionally get with certain locos crossing my Electrofrog points.

Call me pedantic, but you need a 3-way point for three sidings - a Y point would only give you two sidings. I'll now go and hidesmiley.

I have two 3-way points in my fiddle yard, albeit Code 75 and they work well, I have had no derailments.

@BB

Sorry, I did use the letter, 'Y' but did include, '3 way'. It is still shaped like a , 'Y', though I see, 'Y' is not included in the official product description. Glad you find they work well, I've ordered one.
