Triang DMU

I thought that the following might be of interest to those who, like me, have a soft spot for these units. Ford Laurel Green acrylic spray paint from The Range chain store is a spot-on colour match for the Triang green plastic from which these things are moulded (subject to any colour variations caused by age and weathering). It is so close that I only had to spray half of one modified unit to achieve a splendid finish to the whole - the colour match was that good.

I think that is the same colour I used on a Dapol Trans Pennine DMU and then forgot and touched up with railmatch DMU green and you couldn’t tell the difference. It wouldn’t have been acrylic though.
