Simon-1241475
I have just purchased a 70th anniversary Mallard for a display cabinet and would like to present this with suitable Hornby coaches. Can anyone advise from Hornbys current or recent range of coaches what I should buy. A reference number would also be appreciatedregardsSimon
Going Spare
Welcome to the forum. As your 'Mallard' is in LNER garter blue livery, the appropriate super-detailed coaches would be in teak finish, the most recently released (in 2019) being R4826 brake 1st/3rd composite, R4827 1st, R4828 3rd, R4829 buffet and R4830 full brake. These coaches were introduced in 2004, the earliest examples being R4170-3 together with a sleeping car R4174.Similarly-liveried coaches also exist in Hornby's more basic Railroad range (currently R4332 & R4333) but these lack the accuracy of the main range models quoted above.
