ColinB Posted June 18, 2022 Share Posted June 18, 2022 When I converted mine I used a standard Zimo decoder which has a current limit of 800 mA verses 500 mA for the Hornby decoder. I must admit when I used a Hornby decoder in any of my models equipped with a Ringfield motor, it invariably burnt out, so I suppose you are pretty lucky.
