The son of Triangman
How about an "Oh Mr. Porter" series of models? It means speaking to the film rights holder and the Will Hay society amongst others, but I'm sure Hornby could do it. "Gladstone" would be an interesting addition to any layout. ellocoloco
It will be interesting to see how long the Thunderbolt set is available on Rapido's website. I can't think there was ever much demand for it and even less for one based on OMP. The Ghost Train (1941) might be easier. The same story and using what looks like a Dean Goods - I await correction! - which Hornby already have.Still, is there likely to be a commercial opportunity based on 80 year old films? I doubt it. I would be first in line to order a Northwest Frontier commemorative set with DCC sound for the jammed whistle and the supplementary set with the full refugee train. thumbsup

Timothy-1256699
There is a good variety of models available from the Will Hay Appreciation Society website including a printed body for Gladstone to fit an Ibertren 0-6-0 chassis and models of the dilapidated station and signal box; there are presently about four different wagons for sale: Buggleskelly Gas, Buggleskelly Quarries Tarmacadam, Buggleskelly Lime and an SRNI coal wagon. The wagons can also be found on e-bay.
81F
From memory does LNER Silver Link appear at the very beginning before some mishap results in Will Hay being transferred to the far off Irish outpost where he cannot do any damage!
