olly
HICan anyone help with my Hornby railroad plus R30178 class 67 locomotive? this is the ex lima tool that's been modified with a single-motor bogie I have lost the small thin clear plastic washer that goes between the bogie pivot and the loco chassis on the unpowered end There’s no service sheet listed for this model Can anyone take a picture of the loco with the body removed showing the washer? It doesn’t seem to make any difference to the model and Hornby doesn’t seem to know
Going Spare
I am puzzled. Earlier releases of the ex-Lima class 67 are covered by Service Sheet 290D which shows shaft drive from a central motor to both bogies. Does your model differ from this? olly
yes it's different from the service sheet 290D .its even gone back to the old lima non-NEM couplings I've posted a few pictures of the chassis

Going Spare
Hornby have, seemingly without advertising it, evidently brought the 67 in to line with other ex-Lima locos so that it has a self-contained motor bogie which presumably benefits from common components. The non-powered bogie, however, does not appear to follow that pattern as it retains the guides fore and aft that run round a radiused cut-out in the underframe as well as having a central mounting pivot arrangement. You do not say whether the washer sat above or below that mounting pivot but I would guess it was either to cut down friction or reduce gapping to improve stability. Unless the loco looks to be performing less well as a result of not having the washer, I would not worry too greatly about its absence.
olly
HiI have just found the plastic washer on my layout so I have refitted it to the locomotive. its a lot easier to see in the photo than in real life it doesn't seem to make any real difference
Luciton St James
The vandalism of the old Lima models is shocking. To take out a 4 axle drive central can motor drive & replace it with that is pathetic. You do really have to wonder what goes on in their heads down at Margate. 8.4m euros to trash fantastic models is quite an achievement.
M. Matthews
I have to say, my Lima 67’s are some of the best running locos I have. Thinking of sticking some Hornby 67 bodies on them. Usually the other way round!
