taylanfin
Hi all, I have a very weird problem with my County.I have fitted it with a new decoder and done a test run without the body on as per instructions and very smooth, good low speed over points so no problem. But when I fit the body back on my problems begin.Very erratic movement, will not go over points unless I keep a very fast speed setting so no slow reversing into sidings.Have checked the body work and cannot find anything wrong so I was wondering if anyone could help? poliss
This sometimes works. Remove the decoder, refit the blanking plate, run it on DC. Fit the decoder again. Watch out for the body pressing down on the decoder and any trapped wires.

The son of Triangman
Sounds like a wire is being trapped by the body or the body is disturing a connection.
taylanfin
Hi.Many thanks for your help.It looks like the problem was a trapped wire cos i have replaced the decoder with a plug and play decoder and it is now working ok.]
