Moonster78
Hi all. This is my first post so please be patient as I am also fairly new to DCC. I recently purchased on a well know auction site the Hornby Virgin Pendolino DCC ready train set R1134. It ran fantastic in both directions with lights on both dummy & power car.I have seen lights on this model being discussed before but I think the case discussed differed from mine.I have fitted Gaugemaster DCC 27 decoders in both cars at the same time and both together on my programme track. The set runs fantastic but no lights ? I have tried to set the cv for forward and reverse lights but still no lights.I would really appreciate some guidance and advice if anyone can help.sorry if this seems to be a boring subject but as I say I am fairly new so trying to find my way. P-Henny
You haven't said what controller you are using. Hopefully you have one that can read and write more than the very basic CVs.You need two things for the decoder to operate lights that previously worked fine on DC. You send the F0 Function from the controller to turn them on, Have you done that?Secondly, usually and in many cases it requires 128 speed steps to be enabled in CV29 for directional lights to function. What is your value for CV29?You wrote:"I have tried to set the cv for forward and reverse lights but still no lights."Can you be specific and state the CV numbers you are referring to please.
