Daniel-358007
I am trying to service my tender motor but cant seem to lift the rear end of tender cover. The front is secured with a screw which I removed but there seems to be something catching the rear end of cover. I am too scared to force it off. Can anyone help please? I also noticed that there is only one traction tyre on the tender wheels. Should all the wheels have traction tyres fitted since they are plastic wheels and all have a groove in it. Thank you. Going Spare
I seem to remember it was necessary to remove the tender buffer beam to free the tender body at the rear as the buffer shanks pass through lugs on the body.As for traction tyres, I would expect there to be one on each of the grooved wheels. Daniel-358007
You are right! I pulled out the buffers and the tender body came off. The latter is locked in by the buffer shanks. Clever design but could have made me cause an expensive damage!
