Steve-353799
Hi When I switch the P9001 transformer on to give power to the track, the Mallard makes a pop noise. Is this normal? I can't compare it with any other loco's as the Whilliam Whitelaw has gone back.Ta,Steve
Glynn1707822986
I have a couple of Loco's that do the same, one is Mallard, does not seem to effect it's operation in any way.

ColinB
If I remember from my car radio audio days, the audio guys (I was responsible for the digital interface) used to be very concerned about powering up the audio stage properly. If you didn't you got an initial "POP", so your "POP" is perfectly normal. If it were a car radio or an expensive sound system, people would complain bitterly but it is not so not an issue. It makes no difference to the sound.
