A1372 M12 Gun Motor Carriage

Continuing with the armour theme, brought the M12 out of the stash. Makes up a decent model but with a bit of head scratching in a few places as the instructions can be vague in places so dry fitting is a must where possible. Checked the original Academy instructions and they are exactly the same as expected. So a few glue and unglue experiences here. No PE in this kit.

The other issue was the decals. They are all white on the very light blue backing paper so hard to distinguish where one ends and another starts, compounded by the fact that they are all tightly packed onto a small sheet. Only when the paper is wet do they become obvious.

Airbrushed with the Humbrol 155 dropper bottle paint which went on a treat as is (with a few drops of Vallejo airbrush thinner). Sprayed all wheels black and then with a 12mm mask sprayed 155 on the hubs and rims to complete.

Threading the cotton around the winch and through the rollers whilst maintaining tension is fun. Now it's in the weathering queue.
