Trigo is here

A3 Trigo has arrived, I ordered non digital because I had spare HM DCC decoders bought on the double points deal and it was being shipped earlier. Really hoping that as this is a later build model I don’t have any reason to call the lovely ladies in CS 🫰

Extra News…..I hear the digital versions have also arrived 👍

Similar for me. I'm waiting for the DCC Blink Bonny set to run mine - the android version of the app would be useful as well!

I can't do too much with mine until I move to a bigger house as there's no where to set it up other than temporarily on the dining table however I'm keen to make the most of the 15% discount whilst I can.

They might be holding the DCC sets for the Android App - as no Android is not a major issue if you have a DCC controller and don't mind waiting for when you can upload the correct sounds, but no Android is a huge issue if the DCC set is a starter set for someone that has no access to a suitable controller (and doesn't own an Apple phone or tablet)

Only my speculation on the adaptor cable.

For me it is unlikely they’ll include the P9100 as it’s more expensive than the 500mA DC PSU and the set is really cheap. Compare it to the bundle - take out the decoder and it’s £100 cheaper than the bundle and then has a further 15% member discount not available for the bundle. All you get extra in the bundle is one coach, one track pack and a dirt cheap controller and they don’t add to £100. That’s a lot of money for a loco that says Flying Scotsman instead of Blink Bonny.

Fishy,

It does state this on the website for one of the sets, i know the website isn't always right...

1 x Locomotive, 3x Coaches, 1x Transformer, 1x Rerailer, 1x 3rd Radius Starter Oval with Track Pack 1 - Controller not included – app control based

For the Scotsman it says:

1 x Locomotive, 3 x Coaches (with lights), 1 x Transformer, 1 x Controller, 1 x Rerailer, 1 x 3rd Radius Starter Oval with Track Pack 1 - Controller not included – app control based

Same as you found Dodge except + controller - controller. And not which PSU and no adaptor cable. Like you say, often not right.

There seems to be a new label applied to the newly arrived sound fitted locos and the upcoming digital sets - “2023 launch”. Not aware of that being there before.

Edit: something else to annoy those of us irritated by the inconsistency on the website - it’s applied fairly randomly, including to just 2 items in the rolling stock category… a blue/grey Mk3 and a GWR Mk3 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well, a happy day for me. The TT:120 layout grows.
Hornby sent message that my sound fitted Trigo is on the way.
Hornby also wished me a Happy Birthday and added 200 reward points.
Hope you all are having a Happy Day!

Happy birthday! (sorry I can’t give you any reward points!)

I would be disappointed in Hornby as a business if they were genuinely holding back HM DCC product until an android version of the app is available. As a shareholder I would be demanding the CEO’s head on a plate! iOS is available now, DCC is available now, a suitable iOS device can be bought for £50 …why would you hold up product that can be sold today? Of course it’s none of these things, the data indicates the majority of digital model railway customers use iOS devices, the delays are really something much more mundane 🤣

I think you’re spot on. It really doesn’t make any sense to hold popular products that are in high demand back for any reason

Sets were available and decoders were available but not digital sets at that time.

As far as I can see then, the only non-common item was the cable adaptor and this is still not available, assuming it is a new one for the DC PSUs.

There's something else available - BUNDLEH23 "The Trigo Bundle". Just like the other bundles there is an oval of track + track pack 1 and they have partnered it with the 3 existing tankers and a brake van so we finally have a freight train set of sorts.
