John-358890
I had decided to go the DCC route. I have a HM 7000 decoder ready to fit, unfortunately I'm waiting for the Android app. However my question is `control` of point motors. I assume the legacy dongle will allow control from the app.
96RAF
Point motors need an accessory decoder to drive them. You can do this direct from the app using an HM6010 Bluetooth module, or later in development you will be able to use the app to command a DCC R8247 accessory decoder via the dongle plugged into a suitable DCC controller. If you already have point motors on your DC layout, what make are they and how are you switching them at present. If not which point motors do you intend to use, solenoid, slow-motion, or servo. We also need to know if you are going full blown DCC, which controller will you be using, or if not how do you intend to power your HM7K decoders.
