Classic Kits Back from the Grave

Given that Hornby has recently save the Beagle and Auster from the scrap bin by producing new clear parts, what other kits out there would benefit from such treatment?

12 months ago I got my hands on an old Auster kit to produce as the kiwi Antarctic kit and I noticed the canopy issue. Glad to see Hornby have corrected that (but why did they not also produce decals for the kiwi airframe as the two schemes are quite different?).

In the article about the Auster they alluded to other kits missing parts, does anyone have clue what they are?

Marto,

Whilst not actually answering your question,I can tell you that I've seen the re-released

Basset built up and that the new clear parts fit it very well indeed.

I have the Basset kit myself(as yet unbuilt)and can confirm a test fit does indeed

give very good results.

I also have the 1997 issue of the Auster with it's original clear parts, the fit is awful,

I'm very tempted to buy the Vintage Classics release and bring the kit up to scratch

with some other additional work(mainly propeller, undercarriage and cockpit).
