ELink can power your track but HM7000 control can be from the app on Bluetooth or the eLink on DCC. The eLink has no Xpressnet port so you will not be able to use the dongle to run legacy locos from the app, hence you will have to run them from RM as usual.

The forum search function is dire and rarely finds anything, but this question is a topic that has been discussed multiple times and a manual review by opening and reading appropriately titled threads would have found it mentioned.

Your post suggests that you are not particularly interested in using the APP Bluetooth control feature of the HM7000 decoders, but using traditional DCC as your primary control system.

The HM7000 Decoders 'out of the box' are fully DCC compliant and work with normal DCC Controllers including eLink with Railmaster.

The only issue is if you purchase a TXS sound decoder then you have to use the HM7000 IOS or Android APP to install the sound files onto the purchased decoder. You cannot use any DCC controller to install these sound files, it has to be done using the APP. A blank TXS decoder ships with basic steam loco sounds pre installed for testing, not much use if your loco is a Diesel one.

EDIT: 96RAF posted whilst I was still preparing mine and got in first.

Thank You for your time much appreciated .. My intentions was just to try but when looked at the whats compatible chart did not see it .. though this did not put me off stroke but time is the distraction at the minute just runs so fast with family day to day catering of life .. Whilst I have been discovering this new tech in theory I have relised differnt softwares may be available to run layouts in the same manner as RM .. so will be discovering that avenue as well..

Cheers ...

Given you are already an eLink/RM user, you don’t need to spend another penny on control to see how it, including its (somewhat limited) programming capability, and HM | DCC go together, beyond buying decoders.

One possible exception - if you are using only the 1Amp PSU that comes with eLink, upgrade to the 4 Amp P9300 PSU would be a good investment allowing you to run more than just a couple of locos together with the 1 Amp and a few other limitations.
