Looking at the photos it should be connected to the motor terminal underneath the one with the red wire on. If you look at the second photo you can see the motor terminal with no wire on, plus the capacitor goes across the motor terminals, so the red wire goes to one terminal the black wire to the other.

Thanks 96RAF. I should also warn not to put too much solder on the joint as it is very near the chassis.
