Ratch
The kit is 1/43 scale with dimensions of 107mm by 50mm. The parts count is 35 pieces. Instructions are illustrated over 17 steps in full colour. The Skill Level for this is 1, as a Starter Set and 1 Flying Hour is printed on the Type 16W hanging, end-opening box. The kit is made in India and the UK. It is moulded in bright orange styrene, rather like Matchbox kits of the 70s that children didn’t need to paint. Detail quality is adequate, the shapes look good without offering many detailed parts. This is to keep things simple for the novice modeller, at whom the kit is squarely aimed. Painting guide and decal placements are illustrated in full colour on the reverse of the box. Decals are by Cartograf and meet the quality expected of them.Paints advised:18 Gloss Orange19 Gloss Bright Red21 Gloss Black33 Matt BlackThese are included in the kit with a 5ml tube of Poly Cement and a size 2 Humbrol – Airfix paint brush.RRP £14.99.
