ColinB
Does the rebuilt Hush Hush loco sound like a P2? I have a TTS decoder for a P2 and as it won't fit the new P2, even with the 21 pin conversion (just not enough room), so I would like to fit it into my rebuilt Hush Hush. Going Spare
In rebuilt form the W1 was a 3-cylinder simple expansion loco, as was the P2. Both being Gresley-designed LNER locomotives, I should imagine the sounds would be very much alike.

VESPA
There is a short film on the Hush Hush out there from ??? Pathe News or similar. I saw it mentioned the other day and thought to look later but was busy later modifying my car a bit.
The son of Triangman
A bit, but a deeper more powerful noise. There's a wonderful 5 inch gauge model of it on YouTube. It gives you an idea of what it sounded like.
