Amazon Fire tablet

Hi

Does anybody know if you can load the app onto an amazon Fire Tablet.

It does not appear in the list of available amazon apps but I have read some android apps will run on it.

You can install the Google play store on your amazon fire tablet:

I don't know if this will enable you to run the HM7000 app on your amazon fire tablet but is definitely worth doing. I did it on mine to allow me to run the Z21 app on my Fire Tablet. When I was talking to the guys on the Pete Waterman making track 2 last year they were using amazon fire tablets to control there layout via a Z21 and that's how I leant about it.

This enables you to use the google play store on your Amazon Fire Tablet and I believe the HM7000 app is on the Google Play Store.

I mainly use a pixel 7 to run the app as it's super quick sharp image and very responsive.

I did however put it on an old fire using the Google play hack with no issues other than it was really slow and unresponsive at times.

Yes you can - I use the android app on a fire tablet, for my TT layout.

as per Somerset Modeller stated, you need to add some config files to get visibility of the Google play store - but all fairly straightforward

Hi,

I'm happily using an Amazon fire HD10 with the HM7000 app (downloaded via Google play app sideloaded)

The app on this fire pad is just responsive enough- but I wouldn't want to do it with an older pad (with less than 3Gb of RAM.)

I'm new to all of this (1 week since fitting the decoders,) but it all works really, really well.

Follow the instructions from a Google search for 'Google play Amazon fire pad') & you'll be laughing.
