Graham J
Does the 21pin HM7000 fit in the new P2 (Earl Marischal)
Fishmanoz
Given the loco is DCC Ready, 21-pin socket, it should do. However, sometimes physical size of the HM7000-21TXS may be an issue. What does the info supplied with the loco have to say?
96RAF
R3984 product page says it has an 21-pin socket. https://uk.hornby.com/products/lner-p2-class-2-8-2-2002-earl-marischal-era-3-r3984?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAo7KqBhDhARIsAKhZ4uiH-F14Ot0PxKNnzaurf8eGt28jKnsZFhoVettZ7Fq0J5SS1i-S-T0aAp5lEALw_wcB. ColinB
It looks Earl Marischal has the same front end as the Prince of Wales but the tender of the streamlined P2s, so the 21 pin HM7000 will fit. It comes with its own speaker which will fit the sound box enclosure in the tender. However if you want to add the powerbank it will be extremely difficult as there is no room unless you want to put it in the coal load. From my experience because the P2 has so many wheels with pickups you shouldn't need a powerbank. I have the Prince of Wales that has an improved version of the Tornado tender but it looks like the Earl Marischal has the high detail A4 type as fitted to the other P2s.
