New Hornby Loco crew

Would it be possible for Hornby to release the new steam loco crews as an item that can be purchased separately and not just included with new locomotives as I find there are not many suitable oo gauge crew to purchase

Surely if you search on ebay you will still find this item for sale. In 1998 I had a beautiful B12 steam locomotive with a rudimentary mechanism that reproduced the choo-choo of the train hidden in the tender, it worked very well and the sound was powerful and pleasant even from a distance. I liked the locomotive so much that in addition to the drivers I had bought as accessories produced by Hornby the plastic lamps and the discs with the instructions and the meaning to make the movement of the locomotives more real. I'm sad that I don't remember the number but I certainly remember other friends English people can help you. I wish you and your friends on the Forum a Merry Christmas.

I suppose Hornby probably think the returns are just not worth it. Accurascale does crews for all the locos it makes, they are a bit expensive but do fit properly.

You can now buy crew, both steam and diesel, and in various positions. They are 3D so super detail. They need painting, but that is fairly straightforward, and they are not expensive. Modelu is a good source - there are probably others. Here are some of mine awaiting the paintbrush.

I think the original question was more to do with the ones that get included with the new re tooled models, they are quite good, so I can understand why someone would want to buy them separately. I buy mine ready painted from various sources.

I've defaulted to P&D Marsh Z19 pre-painted crew - there are other options but these are what I normally use.
