Carl-375614
Is the snow plough fully detachable on oxford rail dean goods or76dg005?
Going Spare
There is no information on Hornby's website (they are in effect just a retailer) or on that of Oxford Diecast so contact them: customerservice@oxforddiecast.co.uk.edit: there is an image on Hattons' website showing the loco without its snowplough fitted, so the answer to your question would appear to be "Yes". Brew Man
I'm guessing, like Going Spare that they are detachable since the loco is the same as any other OR Dean Goods, so the snow plough is likely clip on.
81F
The Snow plough is held in place using two lugs that push into two holes in the buffer beam where the front buffers would normally go. When fitting the ploughs on the real locos the GWR actually removed the front buffers so this is fairly prototypical. My loco also came with a set of front buffers ao it is just a simple matter of pulling off the plough and inserting the replacement buffers.
