Decoder not giving sound

I recently received the red rover EU set with other extras including the power supply for running from the app and a digital 8 pin sound decoder for the red rover.

Upon installation of the decoder the red rover moves but does not make a sound with the buttons on my phone!, l tried then the prince of wales on this set up and it also didn’t do the sound!( before it did on the ROCO set up)

Below photos is what l have plus the analog remote that cam with the kit!, the prince of wales has a 21 pin decoder.

I tried doing resets and reprogramming and now nothing works!,

It come up with this message below while trying to enter the settings menu after programming all the time!.

l hope someone can help as this is getting very expensive

Have you gone through the troubleshooting guide within the manual, copies are pinned to the top this page?

Un-assign the decoders, unlink them from the app, delete loco from your loco shed within the App, power down the locos, close the app, power down your device, start again. Once the app has detected the decoder, make sure you update the decoder first. It is important to make sure you fully power cycle the loco when prompted by the app.

Your top photo error message shows a low WiFi connection (which can increase download times). Your other photos show a low 4G connection to hornby.com. How exactly are you doing the download?

Adding to that, battery is low, it’s usually advised to have over 60% and best to be plugged into a charger.
