CA-380008
R30166 Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. i have a rake of carriages in the *SHINY* east coast livery but no DVT.... Did Hornby ever make a Class 82 DVT to match the Loco and carriages? I know there was an earlier GREY livery in a matt finish but that was a non lighted version. hope the experts at hornby and customers can help. What About The Bee
Hello CAI did a brief search, and while not definitive, found nothing.Something did occur to me. R30166 is a class 91. The Driving Van Trailer, or DVT, for a class 91 is a mark 4. A mark 4 DVT very much resembles a class 91 locomotive. Perhaps another R30166, with some careful modeling, will produce the DVT in the livery you want. Bee
CA-380008
i had a chat with hornby customer servces and they suggested it only ever ran with LNER red carriages LOL.Dear Clive, Thank you for your email. R30166, or 91110 on the actual railways was in service with LNER, who never wrapped coaches to match it, therefore it should be paired with standard LNER MK4s and the standard LNER MK4 DVT, modelled by us as R40158.so i had to source some youtube footage lol which indeed does show a full train in silver livery lol.so after some further dialog i got this We have not yet produced a MK4 DVT in the East Coast livery, however one did appear in the old tooling as R4668. I would imagine that there will be an East Coast MK4 DVT released in the future however
