john redman
What thickness works best for this? I have some near invisible fishing-line thread that I use to hang models from the ceiling and this works well for that purpose. For rigging of biplanes it is, unfortunately, just as near invisible. I also need something for the wire between aerial masts and tailfins. I'd envisage using the same thing for both. Does anyone have any recommendations? peebeep
Try some of the Uschi van der Rosten products.
Ratch
It depends what looks good for you. Why not look at rigged models and ask what was used. On lots of pictures the rigging is almost invisible, so I'm cool with elasticated invisible mending thread. I have tried black E-Z Line but it's too prominent for my liking. SD45elect2000
I use elastic thread, sometimes I use a marker to color them. Randall
Nerazzurri
John, I guess it depends somewhat on the scale and subject. I got some 0.01mm Ammo Mig rigging for aerial wire on my 1/72 aircraft. Installing it, at times, is a bit like herding cats - but I like the effect and now I don't think I'd try anything else really. Gavin.
Grumps123
I also use Ammo Mig 0.1 & 0.3 mm like Gavin. It can be a pain to fit but the results make me happy.
