DJBDoug
First time cutting up a model train. I wanted to do the br blue/grey water tender for the Flying Scotsman. 2 William Whitelaw (cheap used off eBay) tenders basically chopped in half and glued together, including the bogies so I could have standard couplings on both ends. And roof section from a coach in the set. “just” need some filler, some plasticard for the water filling cap enclosure, move the walkway window on one end, and just paint needed. First time ballasting, first time using wwscenics static grass, first time painting(since school 34 years ago) track and buffers, first time adding a tiny 0603 led to buffer light. All easy to jump into and try for a newbie after watching lots of YouTube videos!
