Floyddy
I have 5 R8247 Accessory Decoders which I am using, together with an Elite controller, to switch 21 points and 1 turntable. All have been working well until I disconnected one of the decoders from the track in order to do some "track ballasting". Having reconnected the decoder none of the 4 points connected to it now work. Can anyone suggest what might be wrong and what I might do to get the decoder working again? Can I, perhaps, reprogramme the decoder using the old group number? Any advice/help would be appreciated. Many thanks Malcolm
Flashbang
Hi Do try to reprogram it, as it likely its lost its original address number and reverted to its default address.

Floyddy
Hi Many thanks for your response. I will try to re-programme the decoder as you suggest. Do you know if I can leave the point motors connected to the decoder when I do so as with everything "in situ" it will be a lot easier if I can? Fishmanoz
Unfortunately you need to disconnect and put the decoder by itself on a programming track, or else you'll re-program all your decoders to the same address range.
