x_and Posted April 2, 2013 Share Posted April 2, 2013 Hi, when my laptop is connected to the elite and running railmaster, random engines get renumbered back to 3. I've not used it for over 6 months and all has been fine, then using it again the other day a 150 got set back to 3. Previously if this happened the original dcc number was unusable again (i'd try to reprogam it but the dcc number would not respond at all) and i'd have to assign a new unused number to it. this didn't happen to the 150 though this time and i was able to return it to its original number. LMSTim Posted April 2, 2013 Share Posted April 2, 2013 If this is only happening on one loco then it could be the chip in the loco. If, as your post implies, this is happening on more than one loco then it is highly unlikely to be the chips in the loco and then that only leaves the Elite. Call Hornby Customer care.
