Is it possible to connect two hornby points motors to one terminal on the points decoder box. I am hoping to be able to change two points using one function button once programmed. My second question is on the points decoder box there is a power cable which connects to a power clip which then connects to the track, can I connect this directly to my elite controller power supply. As the power clips are big and bulky and also don't fit tightly onto the track. Thank you and I hope someone will be able to assist Peter Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Rog RJ Posted June 26, 2013 Share Posted June 26, 2013 Yes you can connect two point motors to a single outlet on the decoder. Usually the points will work OK but sometimes one or both of the points may fail to fire. In this case try moving the point motor very slightly one way or the other as perfect alignment helps ensure reliable operation. The decoders can be connected directly to the "Track" outlet on the Elite (or solder the wires to the underside of the track) but not the power supply.
