Fishmanoz Posted July 29, 2013 Share Posted July 29, 2013 It has been reported that at least some of the above set have been supplied with the R8206 DC power track instead of the correct DCC power track. The set will not operate correctly with this track as it has a capacitor between the rails which degrades the DC signal. If you are having trouble changing the loco address, this maybe the problem. Turn your power track over to check if the part number moulded into it is R8206, the DC track, or the correct R8262. If wrong, it is easy to fix - just flip open the little black cover adjacent to the connectors and snip off the legs of the little capacitor you find inside then recluse the cover.
