CeeJay90
I have just purchased the Elink and Rail Master for a new layout. Can anyone confirm the Elink should work with Cobalt point motors and the DCC Concepts AD1 and AD4 decoders specially designed for the point motor? Any satisfied users? Any tips appreciated
Fishmanoz
The question is really whether RM will work with these, eLink is just an interface to the track. The answer for a start is that Cobalt is definitely OK and the decoders should be as everything is NMRA compliant. However, confirmation that the decodes are listed in RM is needed for complete confidence. Can someone confirm or I will when next have RM powered up. Fishmanoz
By the way, any NMRA compliant decoder will run the Cobalts including the Hornby R8247. There is nothing special about them that needs a specially designed decoder. The decoders just need to be set for continuous output, not the pulse output needed for solenoids, and RM can do this. Fishmanoz
The DCC Concepts decoders are not on the RM list of decoders. However, that doesn't mean RM can't program them as they may well work using one of the decoders in the list. I would email RM Support and Richard at DCC Concepts to see if either can help.
