Strange goings on with a runaway train while programming on the programming track.

Hi all

 

This has got me stumped. When I programme locos on the programming track, by Bachmann Blue Pullman tears away at a vast rate of knots while the Elite is writing to the loco being programmed. My Bachmann Tornado, a Heljan railbus, Bachmann

 

D11, two Hornby Jintys and a Hornby J93 however sit there behaving themselves quite nicely.

 

Any ideas what this could be?

 

Also I seem to have two locos that while working perfectly on DCC on the address I previously allocated now wont reprogramme.
