old gezzer Posted December 16, 2013 Share Posted December 16, 2013 Please can anyone give me a step by step way of setting up a 8216 point decoder with a elite I have followed the instruction in the elite manual and looked on the forum all 62 pages for any in sight into what I am doing wrong I have allowed it to charge up Etc any help will be very welcome has I paid £25.00 for this an I am retired and cannot afford to chuck it away and buy the new type. Fishmanoz Posted December 16, 2013 Share Posted December 16, 2013 I'm not aware of there being any problem with the instructions in the latest manual which you can find in the folder where you put the 1.41 firmware update when you did your update to the latest firmware. The later R8247 decoders are much better and designed to work with the Elite. I suggest that you exchange your R8216 for the R8247 if possible.
