kingfisher11
Just received my Hornby Model Railways R2898XS Schools class 4-4-0 30909 ''St Pauls'' in BR Black with early emblem with sound.I am impressed with the sounds and a great loco to. At £129 from ehattons its a bargain.I think I paid a lot more than that for my first Horbny sound loco the city of Shefield.
Lost Kiwi
Ive been looking at this one also. Good bargain. Would be nice to see more around that price [It would be alot easier to sneak it past she who must be obeyed!!]
bocaj
That's a great deal, I was tempted to star saving for one but I think I have alot of things more important to do with the layout to go into DCC Sound.

The sound decoders used on these models are around £100 on their own so effectively the loco itself is £65.

The son of Triangman
Sounds a very decent price, I have some factory sound equiped locos including the Duchess, and they are well worth getting. The price of the sound decoders though is off putting as I would like to convert some locos, at the moment sound decoders are mortgage money. Already snapped 2 small plastic bits off the tender at that end, but the plug definitely appears to be larger than the visible socket.
