Brightstar Posted August 17, 2011 Share Posted August 17, 2011 Hi william1966,The first thing you should know is that the point decoder is not connected to Railmaster, which is a PC programme for controlling your DCC railway layout vis the Elite controller.Next have a look at the posting headed DCC POINTS, within this Forum, where you will find a guide to wiring up the points for DCC control, by Hornby Customer Care.You may also find the following site usefull:http://www.brian-lambert.co.uk/look at the Electrical and DCC pages. Brightstar Posted August 17, 2011 Share Posted August 17, 2011 Hi william1966,When purchasing a decoder choose the R8247 accessory decoder and not the R8216 point and accessory decoder as the R8216 has been superceeded by the R8247 and is also cheaper.
