Help trouble with trains not running

Hi all I have a dcc layout using a hornby select controller it has worked fine for 3 days had a train derailrd and now it wont run there is power on the track checked with av meter even tried in analogue mode with a dc train but that wont run pluged power

 

connection into aux side and the train worked but with no speed control any ideas poss faulty select unit

A loco derailing can cause a short circuit that can reset the decoders in the locos. If they have reset

then they will have the address 03, so try running them as 03. If they are OK on address 03 you can re-address them to whatever address you want to use.

Or maybe you need to reset the Select.

Hi nothing will run not even on 03 have reset the select thanks looks like have to try and contact hornby

what happens when you try to programme a loco ? the led shoud flash up to 8 times

what happens when you short the track

? the lcd should flash

Thanks for all your help looks like the decoder had reset its self
