DCC Reverse Loop Module

I have set up my layout with a Hornby E-Link module and Railmaster. I have one reversing loop which is controlled by a reverse loop module. All has been working correctly during the build phase of the layout, but in the last couple of days I keep getting

shorts on the reverse loop as a train exits or enters the loop on the 'reverse' point (ie not the side the power for the module is taken). I only have two 'locos' at present, both Bachmann. The steam engine traverses correctly as it always has done, however

my Blue Midland Pullman shorts every time. This of course has two engines and lights. I was beginning to suspect a faulty reverse loop module, but I have read elsewhere in this forum comments regarding the 1amp e-link supply with the module. Has anyone else

had this issue, and can offer advise on solving the problem.
